An interesting collection of late 18th/early 19th century Old Sheffield plate flatware and related items, various dates, comprising: a pair of bright-engraved tablespoons, c.1800, a set of six plain Old English teaspoons, c.1800, a set of three bright-engraved teaspoons, c.1795, three sugar crushers with spiral twist stems, one with spoon bowl.
Six fiddle pattern dessert spoons, by Barber, Cattle & North, York 1829/1835, another pair engraved with squirrel crest, by the same makers, York 1827 and another fiddle dessert spoon, by Barber & Whitwell, York 1821/3 with, in addition to the normal marks, (but no town mark), a sun and an "S" (workman's marks?)
