H 33 cm.Zugeschrieben an Ferdinand Preiss (1882 - 1943)Vermarktungsgenehmigung für den EU-Binnenmarkt liegt vor.Der aus einer Bildhauerfamilie stammende Johann Philipp Ferdinand Preiss wurde 1882 in der für ihre Elfenbeinmeister bekannten Stadt Erbach-Odenwald geboren. Schon während seiner Lehre bei Philipp Willmann (1846-1910) fertigte er erste Skulpturen im antikisierenden Stil. Seine Ausbildung setzte er an der Berliner Akademie der Bildenden Künste fort, arbeitete zeitweilig als Modelleur von Porzellanfiguren für die Firma Chidini in Mailand und trat 1905 in das Atelier von Carl Haebler in Baden-Baden ein. Mit seinem Freund Arthur Kassler gründet er 1907 das Atelier Preiss & Kassler, spezialisiert auf feinste Bildhauer- und Drechslerarbeiten. Die Resonanz auf die ersten Elfenbeinskulpturen war anfänglich verhalten. Der Erfolg stellte sich erst ein, als Preiss & Kassler nach 1910 gemeinsam mit Robert Kionsek von der Gießerei Gladenbeck, gemäß der Pariser Mode Chryselephantine-Figuren produzierten. Zu Kriegsbeginn 1914 beschäftigte das Unternehmen bereits sechs Elfenbeinarbeiter, darunter Louis Küchler und Ludwig Walther. Während und nach dem Krieg blieb das Atelier geschlossen; man musste sich aufgrund der unruhigen Zeiten der Nachkriegsjahre mit Rohstoffmangel und Absatzschwierigkeiten abfinden. Während Kassler den kaufmännischen Bereich des Ateliers leitete, konzentrierte sich Preiss auf die künstlerische Leitung und konnte in den 1920er Jahren die Produktion wieder vollständig aufnehmen.Die erfolgreichsten Modelle waren die aufwendig gearbeiteten Elfenbeinstatuetten im Stil des Art Déco, die zumeist mit Onyx- und Marmorsockeln kombiniert wurden. Sie stellten moderne, lebensnah gestaltete Frauen aus der Sport- und Theaterwelt des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts dar.Aufgrund der Verwendung von Dentalbohrern in der Fertigung, mit deren Hilfe Elfenbein präziser und schneller bearbeitet werden konnte, war es möglich in Serie zu produzieren. Die Kundschaft war international, vor allem aus England und den Vereinigten Staaten. Für Preiss & Kassler arbeiteten u.a. Rudolf Belling, Dorothea Charol, Walter Kassler, Richard W. Lange, Philip Lenz, Paul Philippe, Otto Poertzel und Ludwig Walter. 1929 übernahm die Firma die Berliner Gießerei Rosenthal & Maeder.Die Preiss & Kassler bestand bis 1943; in diesem Jahr starb Preiss im Alter von 61 Jahren an einem Gehirntumor. Kurz vor Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges 1945 brannten die Werkstatt und das Musterlager nach einem Bombenangriff vollständig aus.Dieses Objekt wurde unter Verwendung von Materialien hergestellt, für die beim Export in Ländern außerhalb der EU eine Genehmigung nach CITES erforderlich ist. MultiVerse Authority (MVA) agent Funsch wielded his signature otherworldly M590 pistol while he tracked outlaw Gabriel Yulaw (Jet Li) through 124 alternate universes.This static, cast resin pistol originated from a crew member. Based on a SIG-Sauer P220 Sport, it features a curved black handgrip with an extended compensator painted to appear metallic, a ribbed front sight, and the partial serial number "6238" engraved along the barrel. In addition to paint scuffing, the gun exhibits fractures and cracks throughout from production use with adhesive residue in multiple places along its body where broken pieces were previously reattached.
