Registration - DK10 FVZ Chassis No. - W701183214 M.O.T. - May 2010 Odometer - 31,079 A rare opportunity to own a focused track-day machine from kit-car builders MNR Sportscars, this Vortex RT is presented in beautiful Guards Red-style bodywork, with black leather racing seats. Fully road-legal, ‘DK10 FVX’ is powered by a new 1.3-litre Suzuki Heyabusa-derived engine, and is fitted with racing features such as sports Alcantara steering wheel, full roll-cage, and multi-point harnesses. Built on a space-frame steel chassis, this example comes with a manual six-speed transmission, and an indicated 31,079 miles on the clock. It’s described as a ‘fantastic track car’, with the red-line not displayed on the dial until 11,000rpm, thanks to that high-revving motorcycle-sourced unit. Extremely lightweight, with glass-fibre bodywork and minimalist cladding, the MNR Vortex RT needs work carrying out on the clutch – which is described as in ‘average’ condition – but otherwise all other elements of ‘DK10 FVZ’ are described as in good or excellent condition. The vendor is including a trailer in the sale, and is only offering the vehicle for auction because it is no longer needed. Founded in 1998 by former British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) driver Marc Nordon, MNR Sportscars started out as a race preparation subsidiary of Bintcliffe Sport and Xcel Motorsport. This meant it worked on the preparation of racing cars for BTCC, British GT, Ascar, and Renault Clip Cup campaigns, supporting a number of notable drivers across Europe. Now with more than two decades’ of experience in designing and building sportscars, the design is based loosely on the Lotus Seven shape, but with a number of key differences. A standard chassis is used across most products, and changes come largely in terms of engine fitted, though there is also an RT Mazda, which aims to use as many components from the Mazda MX-5 as possible in the build process. In summary · Unusual but well-regarded track-day toy · Offered with custom trailer for transportation · Fully road-legal model
Registration – CU06 WBW Chassis No. – VF1CB220F34325655 M.O.T. – January 2025 Odometer – 106,168 Clean and tidy examples of near-20 year old hot hatches are rare to find, yet here one is. RenaultSport’s Clio Sport Trophy 182 has gone down as one of the finest-handling cars of its time, and this pristine example has been cared for throughout its life. Presented in Capsicum Red with black interior and silver detailing, the RenaultSport Clio is powered by a fizzy 2.0-litre straight-four engine, hooked up to a snappy five-speed manual gearbox, and this example has had ‘no expense spared’ in its upkeep. Undersealed, and with no signs of corrosion, recent work includes new drilled and grooved performance brake disks all round. Those sit behind alloys that are free from chips and kerbing, currently wearing winter tyres. ‘CU06 WBW’ also comes with a full set of spare Cup shock absorbers, and is fitted with rebuilt and refurbished front shocks. With an indicated 106,000 miles on the odometer, ‘CU06 WBW’ comes with a full service history and comprehensive folder of receipts. The RenaultSport Clio 182 Trophy was the generation’s swansong, and made for the UK market – though a handful were made in left-hand drive for the Swiss. The other 500 came to these shores, and were based on the Clio Cup of the time. Keeping the fine RenaultSport-fettled chassis and 182bhp engine, the Clio’s Recaros were mounted a centimetre lower, a Clio V6 spoiler added, and a set of Speedline alloys fitted to each corner. But it was the Sachs racing dampers that really changed things, and unleashed the Clio’s true potential as a hot-hatch par excellence. In Summary: · Stunning example of one of the best hot-hatchbacks of all time. · Beautifully cared for RenaultSport Clio 182 Trophy · Rare opportunity to own one of just 500 models brought to the UKCondition:
Registration - RF56 RXT Chassis No. - WFOZZZ99Z75787689 M.O.T. - TBC Odometer - 68,419 With its sleek black metallic paintwork, 19” five-spoke alloy wheels with ventilated, cross drilled discs and red brake callipers and shod in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres, and that unmistakable silhouette and wider, more aggressive stance of the Turbo models, this very handsome example of Porsche’s flagship 911 model exudes power and style. The 480bhp, 3.6-litre, flat six, twin-turbocharged DOHC engine propels the all-wheel-drive 911 from 0-60mph in just 3.7 seconds, aided by the five-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission – and sounds superb while it does so. The cabin of this four-seater two-door coupe is tremendously smart, thanks to the tan leather interior, which makes a particularly attractive colour combination with the black exterior. ‘RF56 RXT’ has the full complement of high-specification items one would expect from a vehicle of this calibre, including a Pioneer entertainment system/sat nav system with Bose speakers. The car has had just four previous keepers and comes with full service history and MOT certificates supporting the 68,419 mileage, a good file of handbooks, documents and invoices and an MOT to 14 June 2024. The current owner describes the engine, transmission, bodywork and interior as ‘excellent’, the paintwork as ‘excellent/good’ and the electrics as ‘good’. The 997 was the sixth generation of the Porsche 911 and replaced the Porsche 996 in 2004, with production running until 2013. The main changes between the 996 and 996 were styling, including 18” wheels and, most notably, the ‘bug eye’ headlamps which replaced the ‘fried egg’ lights of the 996, though there was also a slight power increase. In 2006 Porsche unveiled its flagship 997 Turbo at the Geneva Motor Show. Increased use of aluminium enabled the new model to be 41kg lighter than the 996 Turbo. The first Porsche production model to feature two BorgWarner VTG turbochargers, the 997 Turbo featured air vents fore and aft of the rear wheels and a redesigned front bumper with LED turn signal strips in the air intakes. In summary: A low-owner, low-mileage example of Porsche’s flagship model Presented in a stylish colour combination of black metallic paint with tan leather interior Comes complete with full service history and MOT certificates supporting the 68,419 mileage
Registration - W3 PYN Chassis No. - ZFFTJ65C000192553 M.O.T. - April 2024 Odometer - 27,000 With its ingenious electric black gloss roof which can be erected or retracted in seconds, this Rosso Corsa California 30, which is offered at No Reserve, works beautifully as both a cabriolet and a ‘coupe’ – and looks just as good in either configuration. This head-turning, Pininfarina-designed Prancing Horse is made even more attractive by the Scuderia shields, quad sports exhaust, upgraded 20” five-spoke graphite alloy wheels, carbon ceramic brakes with Giallo yellow callipers and the gloss black aftermarket side skirts which match the roof. The 2+2 interior is equally appealing, with Crema Daytona leather seats in excellent order and accented by Rosso stitching, Rosso embroidered cavalinos on the headrests plus Giallo yellow rev counter and Rosso carpets. In 2019 the car was declared a Category S. It was expertly repaired using OEM Ferrari parts and sold to the current owner in 2020, who has loved owning it without any issues. He is now only selling the Ferrari as he is moving overseas. The W3 PYN cherished registration, valued at £1500, is included in the sale. Also included in the sale is an OEM Ferrari indoor car cover, OEM seat covers and OEM steering wheel cover. This beautiful motor car comes with full Ferrari main dealer service history and low miles. The vendor describes the 4297cc, 484bhp, 32-valve V8 engine and seven-speed semi-automatic transmission, both of which are derivatives from the award-winner Ferrari 458 engine and transmission, as ‘genius.’ The vendor adds that the electrics, paintwork, bodywork and interior are ‘excellent’ and that ‘everything works and there are no known faults.’ Announced in 2008 at the Paris Motor Show, the California was viewed as a highly useable Ferrari – an accolade which underlines how easy the model is to live with. With a 0-62mph time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 193mph, it was that most unexpected of beasts, with a circa £150,000-£200,000 price tag depending on factory options ticked. And buyers responded speedily – a three-year waiting list built up almost immediately. The naturally-aspirated California ushered in a number of ‘firsts’ – the first convertible with a retractable metal roof, Ferrari’s first front-engined V8-powered car and the first direct-injection power unit, and the first to sport a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. Ferrari brought in the Limited Edition California 30 from 2012-2014, making it a rare car. The name was derived from the fact that this new variant was 30hp more powerful and 30kg lighter than the original model. California 30 production ended in 2017 and was replaced by the California T. In summary: A stylish, high specification and very usable Ferrari, offered at No Reserve with cherished registration W3 PYN Low mileage and low-keeper example Full Ferrari main dealer service history supporting the declared low mileage
Registration - BX09 VAE Chassis No. - SA9WS1W119X039071 M.O.T. - July 2024 Odometer - TBC A well-respected builder of sports and kit cars, Westfield’s main model was the Sport, based on Lotus’s classic Seven. This example is presented in British Racing Green, with body-coloured interior highlights and black leather upholstery. Fitted with a powerful Ford Zetec S Sigma four-cylinder 1.6-litre engine with fuel injection and short-throw five-speed manual gearbox, ‘BX09 VAE’ comes with canvas roof, frame, and doors for full wet-weather driving capabilities, stored behind the two-seat cabin and ahead of the full spare wheel. Fitted with Team Dynamics Motorsport alloy wheels to keep weight down, this example of an ultra-lightweight sportscar comes with the original build invoice showing the exact specification. With one owner from new, this Westfield is rated by the vendor as being in impeccable order throughout. Westfield Sportscars was founded in 1982, initially offering models inspired by the Lotus Seven. Since Caterham Cars bought the rights from Lotus owner Colin Chapman, there were various threats of legal action towards Westfield, before the design was changed enough that, though visually similar, the construction was different. Provided either as kits or factory-produced models, what became known as the Westfield Sport was a mainstay of the company’s offering throughout its history, though with various spin-offs, such as the ‘Mega’ series – Megabusa, Megablade, and MegaS2000 – which used powerful and high-revving engines from the motorbike industry (Suzuki Hayabusa and Honda Fireblade) or Honda’s 2.0-litre VTEC unit from the S2000 sports car. Other models such as the track-focused XTR2 and classic-inspired racers like the XI were also produced, before the company went into administration in June 2022. In summary: · Pristine example of a classically-styled, but thoroughly modern sportscar · Fitted with a powerful Ford Sigma unit · One owner from new
Registration - MX05 HBD Chassis No. - ZFFAY54C000139544 M.O.T. - October 2024 Odometer - 52,300 The black, Pininfarina-penned curves of this sleek coupe are in sporting contrast to the red brake callipers and bright yellow prancing horse badging on the five-spoke alloy wheels. Inside, the elegant cream leather interior with embossed prancing horse logo on the seat headrests, black leather piping and aluminium detailing emphasise the sense of luxury and style. Under the bonnet the immaculate 5.7-litre V12, 532bhp engine - which can propel this true four-seater GT car from 0-62mph in just four seconds - underlines the fact that this is a performance car of not inconsiderable ability. ‘MX05 HBD’ is a well looked-after example of Ferrari’s front-engined, rear-wheel drive 612 Scaglietti and has recently received a major service, with the cambelt replaced less than 500 miles ago. The current owner describes the engine, six-speed automated paddle shift F1A transmission, electrics, body work and interior – which includes a Ferrari radio and Becker six-disc autochanger with Bose speakers – as ‘excellent’ and the paintwork as ‘good’. The car has a full service history, which is split between main dealer and private specialist, and which supports the declared 52,300 mileage. It comes complete with all handbooks, owner’s manual, service book, all MOTs and invoices for all work ever done on the car and an MOT to 1 October 2024. The 612 Scaglietti was launched by Ferrari in 2004 and produced until 2010. The ‘6’ in ‘612’ represents a rounding-off of the car’s 5748cc displacement and the ‘12’ refers to the V12 engine. The Scaglietti name is in tribute to Sergio Scaglietti, the designer and coachbuilder behind some of Ferrari’s most iconic models of the 1950s and 60s. The 612 was the second all-aluminium Ferrari, the first being the 360 Modena. The 2+2 coupe was was offered with a choice of six-speed manual or six-speed automated manual paddle shift transmission, which was a significantly more refined version of that on the 360. It shared an engine with the 575 Superamerica and the luxury grand tourer feel could be transformed into something much more sportscar-like by selecting the ‘Sport’ drive mode. 612 bodies were produced at Ferrari’s Carrozzeria Scaglietti plant in Modena, then taken to Maranello for engine and interior installation. Just 3,025 were built. In Summary: A supremely elegant 2+2 Grand Tourer with that unmistakable Ferrari flair MOTs support the 52,300 mileage A well looked-after example, with full service history and recent service

Lord Sebastian Coe signed limited edition print with signing photo Sebastian Coe is one of the great names of British sport with eight world records and two Olympic gold medals during his career. Coe sensationally broke three world records in 1979 in just 41 days: the 800m and mile in Oslo and the 1500m in Zurich. This meant Coe was the first man in more than 50 years to set world records at both 800m and 1500m.The following July Coe added the 1000m record to his list in Oslo, making him the holder, for a short time, of four world records simultaneously. In 1981 Coe broke records again at 800m (Florence) 1000m (Oslo) and the mile (Zurich and Brussels) bringing his total to eight. His 800m world record of 1:41:73, set in Florence in June1981, remained unbroken until 1997. At the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles Coe set an Olympic record at 1500m.He has now successfully led the bid to bring the Olympics to London in 2012.This stunning print shows Coe jubilant in crossing the line to win the Olympic gold medal in 1984. He has personally signed each print and you will receive a separate photo of the signing (as shown in the inset image).Actual Size 560mm x 410mm - limited edition of 250 and part of the Sporting Masters editions - Photo printed on 250gsm, high quality art board - The accompanying photo of the personality signing this item will include a copyright over the image and the edition number may vary. * Furse (Charles Wellington, 1868-1904). A small archive of works by or relating to the artist, including a number of works by Charles Wellington Furse: a pencil study of the upper back and arms of a male nude on grey textured laid paper, signed in pencil lower right, upper right corner slightly creased, sheet size 27.3 x 39.1 cm (10 3/4 x 15 3/8 ins); a pen and ink drawing of Cecil Rhodes, dated 1896, with folds and a few edge-tears (one with loss to lower edge), sheet size 20.3 x 16.5 cm (8 x 6 1/2 ins), laid down on card (26.9 x 21.4 cm); and 13 small juvenile sketches of horses, figures, and dogs, mostly annotated 'Charlie' and dated 1873, some laid down on paper (adhesive show-through in places), 11.5 x 18 cm (4 1/2 x 7 ins) and smaller, and a collection of works by other hands, including a signed pen & ink head and shoulders sketch of a woman by Pietro Annigoni, dated 1954, a sketchbook belonging to Charles's brother the sculptor J.H.M. Furse, containing approximately 25 leaves of drawings, mostly head studies in pencil (some crossed through in pencil), but also a drawing of a greyhound in sanguine, a few sketches of other animals, several of festoons of fruit, 1 or 2 drapery studies, and a couple of landscapes in coloured chalks, sheet size 30.5 x 24.5 cm (12 x 9 3/4 ins), page block becoming loose in original cloth, large 4to, and a scrap album containing a variety of drawings, engravings, and manuscript writings, including a number of pen & ink or pencil caricatures and a scissor cut silhouette of a child, original gilt and blind decorated red calf, worn, 4toQTY: (a folder)NOTE:Charles Wellington Furse studied at the Slade School in London and the Académie Julian in Paris. He is known to have developed a talent for drawing at an early age, and this is borne out by some of the sketches offered here which were executed at the age of just six. Furse is particularly known for his portraiture, which demonstrates a novel sense of immediacy in direct contrast to much for the staid studio portraiture which had gone before. His sitters are often painted engaged in a sport or pastime, unconscious of being observed, giving the appearance of a snapshot in time. One such example is the impressive oil of four children on horseback entitled 'With the York and Ainsty - The Children of Mr Edward Lycett Green', a work conveying movement and colour, light and energy.
The extremely well-documented and scarce G.S.M. 1918-62 with Northern Kurdistan clasp awarded to Leading Aircraftman T. F. Smith, 31 Squadron, Royal Air Force, who was killed as a result of the Quetta Earthquake, 31 May 1935 General Service 1918-62, 1 clasp, Northern Kurdistan (511473. A.C.2. T. F. Smith. R.A.F.) mounted for display purposes, good very fine (lot) £1,200-£1,600 --- Approximately 65 officers and 280 airmen were awarded the ‘Northern Kurdistan’ clasp. Thomas Frederick Smith was born in Bawtry, Yorkshire, in December 1908. His parents died in 1926 and 1932 respectively, and henceforth he resided with his brother and an aunt at 10 The Square, Halifax. Smith joined the Royal Air Force as an Aircrafthand in October 1929, and after training at Uxbridge and Henlow was posted to Iraq where he was allocated to 70 Squadron at Hinaidi in November 1930. The R.A.F. policy at that time was to serve five years overseas by splitting the time between Iraq and India, and on 20 March 1934 Smith found himself serving with 31 Squadron at Quetta. At this station he remustered to the trade of Armourer and passed a trade test board leading to him being reclassified as Leading Aircraftman. The posting to Quetta was to prove fatal when, on 31 May 1935, the city was completely destroyed by one of the world’s worst ever earthquakes, a disaster which resulted in some 35,000 casualties. The nearby R.A.F. Station was not spared - and L.A.C. Smith was one of 52 British N.C.O.s and airmen killed in the disaster; 126 men were also injured. Smith’s Squadron suffered 23 killed, and the Commanding Officer of No. 3 Indian Wing in his official report stated that parts of the station - especially the airmen’s accommodation - were completely wiped out. Only 3 of the 25 aircraft on the station (5 and 31 Squadrons) were serviceable. It was the worst disaster in the peacetime history of the Service. Leading Aircraftman Smith, due to the sheer scale of the disaster, was not afforded a burial in a coffin but instead had to buried in a shroud provided by the British Military Hospital. He is buried in the British Cemetery at Quetta, and commemorated on the Memorial Tablet for the R.A.F. victims of the Quetta Earthquake at R.A.F. Halton. Smith’s G.S.M. (only issued in February 1935) and his sports medals were recovered from the wreckage of the barracks and forwarded to his next of kin. Sold with the following impressive archive of related and original material: 18 Sport Prize Medals, all named to recipient, for Athletics, Boxing, Hockey and Shooting from various postings in India and Iraq; Certificate of Service; telegram to recipient’s brother informing him of his death as a consequence of the Quetta Earthquake; letter of condolence written to recipient’s brother by the Commanding Officer of 31 Squadron, dated 3 July 1935; correspondence from the R.A.F. Record Office confirming the recipient’s death, and relaying details about his burial arrangements; letter from Wing Commander J. Slessor (later Knighted and Marshal of the Royal Air Force) to recipient’s aunt regarding financial contributions for a Memorial Tablet for the R.A.F. victims of the Quetta Earthquake, dated 6 March 1936; letter from the Reverend G. H. Collier, R.A.F. Halton, informing relatives of the unveiling of the memorial tablet for R.A.F. victims of the Quetta Earthquake at Halton; photograph of recipient in gym kit standing behind his various sporting medals; other ephemera and copied research.

A rare 17th century Charles I silver vervel or hawking ring, the shield-shaped bezel finely engraved with Royal coat of arms, comprising (clockwise) the rampant lion of Scotland, the lions of England and fleur-de-lis of France quartered, the harp of Ireland, and finally quartered arms of England and France repeated, the hoop engraved to the exterior in italics ‘Charles . King’, diameter 10mm. £2,000-£3,000 --- Provenance: This vervel was found in spoil heaps taken from Billingsgate in the city of London, circa 1982. Upon recent cleaning, the details of the shield and inscription became clear. The Tower of London is close to Billingsgate, and it is likely that Charles I would have kept a number of his birds of prey there. Vervels have been recorded for Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, James I and now Charles I, together with a significant number of hawking rings belonging to titled individuals, displaying their family crest. One known example of a vervel belonging to Charles I is held at the British Museum, Number 2000,0701.1 and also displays the Stuart Royal arms. Vervels were attached to a jess or thin strap made of leather which was the tether for the bird. Falconry was a popular sport amongst nobility in the 16th and 17th centuries using trained birds of prey to hunt small game such as rabbits. Condition Report Inscription clear, slight wear to the extremities of the shield with the surface typical of a Thames find. XRF analysis shows it is 96% silver with traces of gold, iron, lead, copper and bismuth. Weight 0.71gm.

The King writes to thank his correspondent 'for another week's splendid sport at Moy' and continues to add that he especially enjoyed 'the last day when I got my record bag & record drive', further remarking 'If only the weather had behaved a little better we should have made a wonderful bag', also sending the Queen's thanks for the hospitality and informing Mackintosh that 'We had a good run on Saturday & got here in time for tea, the road was not too good, but the weather was fine, Bardie came with us as far as the Devil's Elbow. We are going out this morning to see if we have any grouse'. Some very light age wear and some minor staining to the verso of the final page, otherwise VGAlfred Donald Mackintosh (1851-1938) Chief of the Clan Mackintosh, a Highland Scottish clan who have resided at Moy Hall since the beginning of the 18th century.

OSWALD LEE HARVEY: (1939-1963) American private with the United States Marine Corps, the assassin of John F. Kennedy. A rare A.L.S., Lee, two pages (written to the first and third sides of the feint ruled bifolium), 8vo, n.p. (Russia), 30th November 1961, to his brother Robert. Oswald informs his brother that a package 'with a few little Christmas presents' has been send that day although it 'may be a little late you may not get it until about New Years', further writing 'We still haven't recived (sic) any word about our visas. Marina says that she cannot wait untill (sic) she gets to the U.S. and sees little Robert Jr. If you like, you can send me a football (they only have round one's here) just deflate it & send it to me like a letter. Also you can pick up a few diagrams of plays at any filling station and send them along also, these Russians seem interested in learning how to play, so I thought maybe you could help me out and together we'll show them a little bit of American sport. Our deal about the visas is not getting any better, and I think about New Years, I'll fly into Moscow, and go to the Embassy about it. As time goes on, our complaints, and their inactivity, will bring things to a head, and one side or the other will break' and concluding 'We sent you a can of a kind of Russian candy, called "KHAIIVA", it's made from grain and sugar, so when you'll open the package you'll know its candy. I eat alot (sic) of it, if you all like it, will send some more'. VGProvenance: The present letter was included in the Warren Commission as Exhibit No. 308 (see pages 849-850 of Volume XVI of the Warren Commission Hearings). Lee Harvey Oswald had travelled to the Soviet Union in October 1959 and almost immediately after arriving expressed his desire to become a Soviet citizen, claiming that he was a communist. His application for citizenship was refused on 21st October, the day his visa was due to expire, and he was informed that he had to leave the Soviet Union that evening. Oswald's departure was delayed due to a self-inflicted injury and the Soviets kept him under psychiatric observation in a Moscow hospital for a week. In January 1960 Oswald was sent to Minsk where he was given employment as a lathe operator. A year later Oswald was beginning to reconsider his decision (although he had never formally renounced his U.S. citizenship) and wrote to the Embassy of the United States in Moscow requesting the return of his American passport. In March 1961 Oswald met Marina Prusakova, a pharmacology student, and they married six weeks later. On 24th May 1962 the Oswalds applied at the US Embassy in Moscow for documents that enabled Marina to immigrate to the United States. The couple and their infant daughter left for the United States on 1st June and soon settled in the Dallas area.
