Two creamware teapots and covers, Staffordshire or Yorkshire, c1775, of baluster shape with leaf moulded spout, one painted in red and green, the other in polychrome with flowers and sprigs, the handle terminal of one green glazed, 21 and 24cm h Larger coffee pot - descending hairline crack, old restoration to tip of spout and two filled chips on edge of foot and small filled chip on rim of cover. Smaller coffee pot - two pieces broken out and re-stuck with V shaped loss, old restoration to tip of spout, cover cracked and with re-stuck on rim, part of flange made up, neither with any recent professional restoration, covers original
Seven trays of Crown Staffordshire English fine bone china with blue and gilt bird and flowers design dinner, tea and coffeeware items to include; various plates, bowls, gravy boat, coffee pot, teapot, milk jugs, sucriers, water jug, teacups, coffee cups, lidded tureens etc. (7) (B.P. 21% + VAT) A lot to look at individually, however, good condition overall. Gilding appears in tact. One coffee cup has a tiny nick to rim. Two saucers with the teacups are cracked, one badly. Sucrier has no lid.
Collection of mostly blue and white china to include; four Staffordshire Willow pattern meat plates of various sizes, Willow design butter dish, Copeland Spode Italian bowl and cheese dish, blue and white oriental design lidded soup tureen, five soup plates and three plates 'Plum Bossom' shallow bowls, small oriental blue and white porcelain tea bowl and various dresser jugs etc. Provenance Margaret Bide Collection. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Bowl appears good. Cheese lid has cracks and crazing visible internally and chip to top (see pics), base has small chip to edge but otherwise appears good. Large meat dish - fairly large chip to underside and small chip by the drainage well. One Staffordshire meat dish has crack extending from centre to rim. Other Staffordshire has couple of cracks and chips and evidence of restoration. Imperia China meat dish - no obvious damage but dull sound. Butter dish has glazed chip to rim and small chip internally. 'Soup tureen' is very shallow and has four small cracks running from the rim. Crazing to glaze. Several tiny chips to internal base. Lid has no obvious damage. Small chips, cracks and wear to most of the jugs, one has crack to the handle. Five soup plates have signs of wear but no major damage except for one which has large chip to front and several chips to underside of rim. Three plates - one has been broken in two and repaired and is also chipped, another has chip to underside of rim, the third has no obvious damage. All have crackling to glaze.
