A KHORASAN BRONZE LAMP STAND BASE of lobed form, decorated with panels of birds within foliate borders, the ends with a 'Kufic' inscription on four shaped legs and headed by stylised masks and separated by stylised birds heads, the surface with traces of tinned decoration, probably Iran, 12th/13th century, 5.5" high
Trench Art Umbrella Stand Made From the Brass Shell Case of an Imperial Russian Naval Gun, the shell is fitted with a carved wooden shell head, having Imperial Russian double headed eagle badge to the centre. The shell has a aluminium plaque to the centre in the shape of a shield, crudely engraved “1854 1918 HMS FURY Sebastopol Crimea”. The shell is stamped to the base plate with various Russian markings and 1914 with anchor to the centre. Base measures 13cms in diameter, length of shell 78 ½ cms, total length with carved shell head 110cms. Comes with a wooden stand carved to the lower section “19.11.18”. Circular fitting has been added to act as a divider we believe. An interesting item of Trench Art.
Great War Royal Naval Division Internment Camp Picture Frame, wooden frame with two images of naval battleships and “GRONINGEN-1914-16-HOLLAND”. Complete with backing and stand. Some scratches and wear. 1500 men of the Royal Naval Brigade / Royal Naval Division were interned at Groningen after the retreat from Antwerp in 1914.
Edwardian Princess Charlotte of Wales Royal Berkshire Territorial Regiment Officers Full Dress Tunic, scarlet cloth tunic with black stand up collar having rose pattern silver lace and bullion embroidered regimental collar badges. Black cuffs with silver bullion lace /wire decoration. Knotted shoulder boards with bullion rank insignia for a Colonel and gilt metal territorial “T” to the lower section. Silvered regimental tunic buttons to the front, shoulder boards and rear. Quilted lining to the inside with tailors label stitched to the collar. Loops to the breast for medal ribbon bar. Some scattered areas of moth tracking but overall still good condition example.
Edwardian Somerset Light Infantry Lieutenant Colonels Full Dress Tunic, fine scarlet cloth tunic with black stand up collar having rose pattern gilt lace and bullion embroidered regimental collar badges. Black cuffs with gilt bullion lace / wire decoration. Knotted shoulder boards having bullion rank insignia. Gilt metal regimental tunic buttons to the front, shoulders and rear. Quilted lining to the interior of the tunic. Original tailors label to the collar with inked name “Capt J S N Harrison”. Remains in good condition. Lieutenant Colonel John Sandbach Noel Harrison DSO, was born on 9th November 1877. He was commissioned into the Somerset Light Infantry in 1898. Promoted to Major in 1915. He was awarded a Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O) whilst attached to the Loyal North Lancashire regiment for services rendered in connection with Military Operations in Mesopotamia, award appearing in the London Gazette 7th February 1918. He was also Mentioned in Despatches during WW1. He was the commanding officer of the 1st Battalion Somerset Light Infantry from 1924-28 and retired from the Army in 1929. He died 5th December 1949.
Pre-WW1 Royal Marines Dress Tunic Attributed to Private G March RMLI, scarlet dress tunic with blue stand up collar and cuffs. White piped front and white embroidered globes to shoulder straps. To one arm is rank insignia and proficiency bullion sleeve badge for Gunnery Instructor. Brass kings crown tunic buttons to the front. Interior is blanket lined with various ink issue stamps, regimental number and name. Tunic remains in very good overall condition showing just light service wear. George March was born on 26th December 1882 in Islington, North London. He enlisted in the Royal Marines on 24th January 1901, at the time of enlistment his occupation was a tin worker. He served at various shore establishments including the Royal Marines station at Deal. He served on HMS Partridge during the Boer War, HMS Partridge being a 1st class screw gun boat of 755 tons. He served on various other ships including HMS Cumberland before being re-employed for Great War service with Chatham Battalion Royal Marines Light Infantry. Norfolk Yeomanry Officers Full Dress Uniform, consisting of special pattern officers dress tunic in dark navy blue cloth with yellow facings. Stand up yellow collar with gilt braid and silvered officers George V cipher collar badges. Gilt Edward VII regimental tunic buttons. Yellow cuffs with heavy gold bullion wire lace. Knotted shoulder boards with bullion rank pips. Quilted lining to the interior with F A Stone & Sons, Norwich tailors label to the collar. Inked to the tailors label “Lieut J A Sayer”. Accompanied by the matching officers dress trousers with thick yellow stripe to the leg. Some scattered areas of moth and some shredding to the lining of the tunic but overall a good set. James Arthur Sayer JP was born in 1877 in Fakenham. He became an officer in the Norfolk Yeomanry and served as a Quartermaster with the 1st/1st Norfolk Yeomanry and served with them at Gallipoli, and later served in Egypt and Palestine, and at some time transferred to the Remounts department. After the war he was living at Sparham Hall, Sparham. His son, Flight Lieutenant Arthur John Sayer was Killed in Action in 1944, where his Lancaster Bomber was shot down by a German night fighter and crashed in the sea off Vornæs on the island of Taasinge, Denmark.
1930’s Royal Air Force Sergeants Private Purchase Dress Tunic, good quality blue wool four pocket tunic with stand up collar retaining brass early pattern RAF collar badges. Brass kings crown tunic buttons. Medal ribbons for WW1 service with MID, Indian General Service medal 1908-36 and 1937 coronation medal. Sergeants rank chevrons to one arm. Good officer quality lining to the interior. An unusual early RAF tunic.
Pre-WW2 RAF Tropical Tunic, four pocket example with stand up collar and removable brass kings crown buttons. To the arms are early embroidered tropical arm eagles and LAC propellers. Tunic is complete with its original label to the inside “FROCK Khaki Drill O/A” and dated 1934. Tunic shows some fading and wear. An interesting early RAF tunic.

Ltd, Birmingham 1895, 1896 & 1897, height of spirit kettle 36cm, to a wooden case, with paper work from 1898, weight combined approx. 287.5oz (7)N.B. The crest of a badger in front of an oak sapling crest has been recorded for BROCKLEHURST family.
