W632, diameter 28cm, a floral and leaf hand painted jug, patter E/0354, and a Susie Cooper Productions butter dish, abstract and leaf decoration, pattern E/194 (5). CONDITION REPORT The black fruit decorated plate crazed throughout as such short dull ringPolychrome floral Gray's pottery plate crazed throughout as such short dull ringFox decorated plate crazed throughout as such short dull ringCockerel plate more pronounced ring, less extensive crazing, crazing to the reverse more pronounced with some extended crazing lines, very dirty and dusty and in need of cleaning lustre is somewhat diminished in its current condition, Jug extensively crazed with no ring whatsoeverDish base with a chip repair, heavily crazed some crazing line running towards and becoming hairline, lid similar again with crazing line running toward becoming hairline cracks, small nibbles and fritting to interior rim. In general terms rubbing to decoration to varying degrees and heavy dust and dirt throughout this lot.The chicken plate is marked 'A E Gray Ltd England' 'Gloria Lustre' with a black and orange sun motif, hand written number 5152 and decorator's initials, possibly 'JAJ'. The fox plate has some faint scratches and possible pitting to the lustre, it is dirty and needs a good clean.

CONDITION REPORT There is an applied white substance over the black ground as is visible in the picture, unfortunately we cannot determine if scraped off the black would remain or if this would take body paint with itLid with hairline crack both items extensively crazed, Further extensive crazing throughout this lot one of the coffee cans with two chips to rim, another coffee can cracked through, one with small chip to rim, one with a noticeable loss to the overglaze, another similar to handle, one saucer cracked, further fritting and dirt, cream jug with noticeable paint loss to the black overglaze, further minor lossesThe octagonal dish with hairline crack, large chip and further cracks another with noticeable fritting and firing imperfections, another with noticeable paint lossescream and orange decorated service, cream jug with chip to spout, All items extensively crazed, rubbing to decoration and heavy dust and dirtThe coffee set and sandwich set both have crackle to the exposed pottery. There is paint loss in multiple places on the overpainted pottery and various items show signs of cracking. Some chips. There is deterioration and flaking to the paint.

SUSIE COOPER (1902-1995); from the studio of, orange ground vase with incised scroll pattern, signed and dated 1932, height 16cm, and for the Crown Works Burslem factory a 'Kestrel' teapot, variegated blue and ivory line decoration with dark blue spot decoration to the handle, rim and spout, pattern no.102202 (indistinctly marked) (2). CONDITION REPORT The orange jug has areas of tiny blistering to the glaze and some areas of glaze loss. No obvious signs of repair. The teapot has crackle all over the glaze. The inside of the rim of the teapot has some of the lip missing and it has cracked away and there is a crack. Plenty of crackle to the body. Some chips to the base.

SUSIE COOPER (1902-1995); from the studio of Susie Cooper, signed and dated 1932, a blue grey green twin-handled cylindrical vase with abstract blue leaf and fern decoration, pattern no.950, height 20cm and Gray Pottery Hanley three commemorative 'R.I.B.I. Conference Scarborough 1933' squat vases, all with variegated colour line decoration to include a matching pair in green and one in pinks and damson shades, height of each 12.5cm (4). CONDITION REPORT No obvious repairs or cracks. Each of the vases has areas of speckled paint loss.

CONDITION REPORT Orange and black decorated service, cream jug with hairline crack, one saucer cracked, another saucer chipped , a coffee can with crack and repair to the upper section of the handle, two coffee cans with hairline cracks, other wise usual crazing, some rubbing to decoration, fritting, heavy dust and dirtFloral service, teapot finial has probably been off or at east has a crack running round the join, spout chipped and cracked, a coffee can has hairline crack , a saucer with pronounced frittingExtensive crazing, some running towards hairline cracks, heavy dust and dirt to both services some paint losses

CONDITION REPORT Some items with paint loss, some with rim chips and pitting.

A quantity of ceramics for various factories to include a part Dresden 1017 pattern tea service, a small teapot, side plates, cups, sugar bowl and milk jug, teaware for Crown Works Burslem, a Susie Cooper for Wedgwood coffee can, an ashtray, a 'Spirals' 2361 pattern butter dish, and from the studio of Susie Cooper a rectangular decorative plate, 'Gypsy Caravan' pattern no.E327, and other matching and non-matching items. CONDITION REPORT The caravan rectangular tray has plenty of crackle to the front and back. There are some areas of paint loss and one notable area of glaze loss. The overpainted pattern is a bit dull. Otherwise ok condition.
