A good late 17th century ebony table clockDaniel Quare, LondonThe case with typical turned handle on S-scroll uprights on ball pommels over a caddy with four applied mounts, the sides with rectangular glazed panels to a moulded plinth and replaced block feet. The 6.5 inch square dial with winged cherubs heads spandrels framing the silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with fancy half hour markers and inner quarter track, the finely matted centre with ringed winding squares and decorated apertures for date and mock pendulum, signed between VII and V, with blued steel hands. The twin gut fusee movement with six knopped and ringed pillars, pivoted verge escapement, the striking train with rack strike on a bell (quarter repeat train now removed). The backplate with single line border framing a symmetrical pattern of interlaced foliate scrolls centred by the signature in a wheatear border 39cms (15.5ins) high. A Regency Ebonised Striking Table Clock, double fusee movement with backplate signed Anderson, London; together with a later wall bracketThe case needs restoration, case with cracks to the sides and chips in parts, front of the case with cracks to the veneers in parts, the pediment with later corner finials, top handle is missing, front door is not closing correctly at present due to the lock, lock key is missing, front left hand corner of the base with chips and damage, base with very small woodworm holes in parts which appear to be now non active, metal surfaces are discoloured, back door with glass chipped and is sightly bowed, veneer missing to the edge, back door is locked (case keys are missing), dial with small chips in parts to the painted surfaces, signature and place name is faded, other dial markers are faded in parts, movement is dirty and discoloured, movement plate and brackets with small scratches, with pendulum. Later wall bracket with chips and damages.

A large Victorian table or boardroom clock with two train chain driven fusee 5 pillar movement striking on a gong. With a silvered arch dial with strike silent on the arch the dial 7" x 9" with Roman numerals. Contained in a oak case adorned with gilded cast feet finals to the top and flowers and busts of ladies to the front of the case.Dimensions 24" x 13" x 10"Condition report. Looks to be in restored condition movement will need a clean but not tested. Case appears to be in good condition.

A George II figured walnut fusee bracket or table clock by Smallwood, Sandbach, circa 1750, the figured walnut case with ogee caddy top and brass swing handle over the moulded cornice and 17cm square gilt metal dial, with openwork spandrels and silvered chapter ring, applied with Roman and Arabic numerals along with the makers name, centred with matted and chased foliate detail and a crescent shaped date aperture, the four knopped pillar fusee movement striking on a pair of overhead saucer bells, above the foliate engraved back plate with a heart shaped back-cock and bob pendulum, upon ogee bracket feet, 42cm high, 45cm high with handle, running and keeping time at the property (some historic woodworm to the top of the case) Condition report: Please note the clock strikes on a pair of bells indicating the hour, quarter past and half past Historic worm to the rear pediment, along with repairs and small chip. Replaced putty and hinges to front door, 8cm split around the door catch. Veneer repairs around both rear door hinges, rear door 'tight' when closing. Replaced putty to rear door. Similarly, the side panels with replaced putty. General marks, wear and fading commensurate with age and use.
