A mid 19th century Sheraton Revival enclosed Tantalus, the two-handled rosewood cabinet lined with satinwood and inlaid with central quadrant motifs and tendrils and foliate boxwood, the mirrored hinged lid and fall front revealing three square decanters retained by a cribbage board, a lower spring-opening drawer beneath the decanters, the fall front holds a brass tray; the cabinet is secured by a Brahman lock (no key) the catch of which has been replaced by a spring ball device (36cm x 25cm x 37cm)

AN EDWARDIAN OAK BRASS-MOUNTED THREE BOTTLE TANTALUS with three square divisions holding pressed glass decanters, the locking mechanism now missing. 32cm(h) x 34cm(w) Marks and scratches, edge knocks and depletions to base, splits to handle mounts, decanters near matching, lock missing, the pivoted rail now held by a long piece of wire filling a drilled hole to the side mount, viewing advised.
An Edwardian silver-plated three bottle Tantalus and key, width 32 cm. Excellent condition, with presentation plaque to the front which reads `Presented to E.G.Smith Esq, by his official friends and colleagues 12th Jan 1900`. One decanter has a flake chip to the base of the stopper the others with only minor crumb nibbles to the stoppers, the bottles appear fine.
A late 19th century brass bound oak Tantalus, drinks cabinet, the back enclosing three hobnail cut stoppered decanters, with twin lidded front enclosing an arrangement of five various compartments for cigars, matches etc, the front with secret revolving compartment containing four miniature glasses and four matching hobnail cut whisky glasses, with mirrored back (mirror (af)), the sides with stylised shaped drop handles, with Brahmer lock, complete with key, height approx 36cm, depth include open secret compartment approx 45cm, width 36cm, complete with original key (illustrated).

Significant wear to silver plating on finial. One decanter with large chip to rim. Very minor chips to other decanters. Some age related wear and minor splitting and scratching. 210213
