A late Victorian oak and Gothic brass mounted tantalus, having three square decanters and stoppers, the hinged covers opening to reveal fitted sections over concealed base drawer, w.38cm.Decanters all good, fit well and snug, very minor loss where squeezed under the cover.All hinges good.Brass mounts good with some tarnishing.Secret drawer mechanism works well.Oak good, some modest age and handling wear and would benefit from a polish.Interior good with some fading.A good and original example.Not marked Betjeman.
