To include photograph of the Officer together with a Christmas card from Him, hardwood truncheon, Custodian type helmet with Carmarthen Castle helmet plate, flat cap with Carmarthen Borough Police, helmet badge, belt buckle and handcuffs. (7) Provenance, Emrys Thomas retired to live in Water Street Carmarthen and new owners in the property discovered the items in the attic of the house. After the police defeated a criminal gang in 1840 the area started to change, combined with the slum clearance bought by the development of New Oxford St. seven years later.
