Make & Model:Chevrolet, Camaro Date of Reg:T28USA Colour:Blue cc:5666 MoT:2025-05-25 Fuel Type:Petrol Mileage:51000 Transmission:automatic Summary:This 1999 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, registered in July 1999, sports the desirable 5.7-litre LS1 V8 engine coupled with a four-speed automatic transmission with Sport and Normal modes. It is in its original (and rare) colour of Bright Purple Metallic with the very appropriate numberplate T28 USA. The vendor reports that it is ‘a real head-turner and an absolute pleasure to drive’. It presents very well inside and out, with chrome-finished wheels shod with matching hardly-worn Nankang Ultrasport tyres. The glass roof panels lift out as they should and can be stored in the rear. The car is MoT'd (advisory free) through to May 2025 and is showing just over 82,000km (approx 51,000 miles) on its odometer. It runs and drives, with working brakes and the only fault that the vendor is aware of is that the air conditioning doesn't work, although there appears to be no leaks in the system. The standard heating system does work, however. Paperwork with the Chevrolet includes the current and past V5Cs, assorted invoices, MoT certificates back to 2007, Clifford security instructions, and old tax discs.

Attributed to Juan Patricio Morlete (San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, 1713 - Mexico City, 1772).‘Casta painting. Black and Spanish produces mulatto’Oil on copper.52 x 48 cm. Morlete was one of the Novo-Hispanic painters who most often painted landscapes and, in fact, there are other examples by him of caste pictures painted in the open air. This characteristic, together with the great pictorial quality of the three figures depicted, and the model of the pedlar located near the family, (which is repeated in other of his artworks) and that Morlete is the only painter who mentions the word ‘produce’ in his titles instead of other terms to define mestizos (as we find in other paintings of his, for example in the painting entitled ‘Valle de Iztacalco, de yndia y español produce mestiza’ (Indians from the Valley of Iztacalco, and Spanish produce mestiza), which is in the Kaluz Museum) allows us to attribute this marvellous caste painting to the artist. This painting is a real rarity as it depicts the caste family scene in an outdoor landscape. Usually, these caste paintings were depicted in domestic settings, interiors of houses... and almost always with very repetitive models. In this case, we are presented with the Mexican Alameda Park, recognisable by its fountain, next to the Paseo Bucarelli. In the foreground are the protagonists, and around them, pedlars, couples strolling, a man on horseback, noblemen riding in a carriage, etc. In the lower margin we find the usual cartouche on which the painter originally entitled the work with the inscription ‘Negro y española produce mulata’ (‘Black and Spanish produces mulatto’), which one of its owners, who probably treasured it, covered with white paint and renamed it ‘Paseo de Bucarelli’, presumably in an attempt to conceal the obvious message of the work. The theme of caste painting was developed in 18th-century New Spain and was intended to show and classify the diversity that arose from the mixing of ethnicities. This was a complex task, as the Prado Museum reports in the catalogue published for the exhibition ‘Tornaviaje. Ibero-American Art in Spain’, as “natives of the West Indies, Spaniards and Europeans, African slaves and a small amount of Asian emigrants ... made up a stratified society, but with threads of communication between them”, a diverse society that gave rise to caste painting.Even so, the value of this pictorial genre does not lie exclusively in ‘the classificatory tendency of the 18th century’ or even to ‘European concepts of the exotic’, but studies such as Ilona Katzew's reveal the value of this genre for ‘the construction of its own differentiated image’ of New Spanish society. In fact, Katzew continues, caste painting ‘is a unique pictorial genre that has no equivalent in European art’, indeed, ‘it is fundamentally limited to the viceroyalty of New Spain’, although mixing of ethnicities took place in all the Spanish colonies. In this sense, the Director and Curator of Latin American Art at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, concludes in her study that ‘caste painting is not a monolithic genre, but one that encloses multiple simultaneous meanings’ and that, furthermore, ‘it offers a clear example of how New Spain could be a generative centre and not just an area that remained on the periphery of artistic events’, as it has traditionally been considered.Reference bibliography:- Katzew, Ilona. The watch was purchased more than twenty years ago by Wythenshawe Resident Author Broadcaster and Historian David Turner. It is alleged that this watch was presented to Marshal Zhukov by Joseph Stalin in recognition of Marshal Zhukov's success fully defending Stalingrad against the German onslaught and capturing Berlin in World War II ahead of the Allied Forces so we have two Russian Army Generals depicted on this watch who were also seconded to several senior posts within the government. David told Your Local Voice that despite interest from Imperial War Museum he is keen to offer the watch back to Russia adding that 'BBC Television in Manchester have said they will cooperate with Russian television to produce a programme covering the presentation of the watch to a suitable Russian military museum as part of their military history for posterity'."

Registration No: HMN 160P Frame No: GK04947 MOT: ExemptThe last version of the classic TridentFitted with a twin disc front brakeManx registered but still recorded by DVLATriumph is one of the most iconic and revered names in the history of motorcycling. Established in Coventry in 1885, by the start of the 1900s the company had made its first motorcycle beginning a continuous run of production under various ownership until its eventual closure in 1983. In 1937 the Edward Turner-designed Speed Twin was released, thus launching a range of Triumph twins that went on to epitomize British motorcycles in the post-war years. The 3-cylinder 750cc Trident was essentially one and a half 500cc twins and proved to be the last success story for the company, with the bike going on to dominate the early years of the Formula 750 race series. The last development of the Triumph 3-cylinder range was the ’75 T160 with its forward-canted cylinders like those of the BSA Rocket 3, allowing room for an electric starter to be fitted. The bike was totally restyled, but unfortunately, it all proved too late and the cash-strapped Meriden co-op was never able to produce enough of them to make any real difference. Against a backdrop of political and industrial turmoil, the factory closed soon after. This T160V appears to have had 2 owners in Northern Ireland before it was purchased in 2016 by the vendor who lives on the Isle of Man. He had it re-registered there as 'HMN 160P', although it still appears on the DVLA and HPI databases on its original UK number of 'ODY 444R'. It is presented in essentially original trim with just a few sensible modifications to make it easier to use. The front brakes are now twin disc, the electrics have been uprated, a Les Williams oil pressure gauge fitted, wheel rims are now alloy, a lifting handle added and the silencers have been replaced with the more stylish 'Ray Gun' type. It comes supplied with parts and maintenance manuals, an owner's handbook and some old tax disc and MOTs.More images to follow. In 1937 the Edward Turner-designed Speed Twin was released, launching a range of Triumph twins that epitomised British motorcycles in the post-war years. Many believe the T120 Bonneville, first seen in late 1958, to be the ultimate version of the classic British vertical twin and is now one of the most sought-after bikes of the era.On offer is a 1965 Triumph T120R, which has been with the current owner for the last 16 years. In ownership, the vendor has always maintained the Triumph to a good standard and has used it every year since it has been with him. Ltd, one of their first bikes produced was the Ariel Square Four (SQ4) designed by Edward Turner, who was looking for work and showing drawings of his engine designs to various motorcycle manufacturers. In the days of predominately single-cylinder engines, a square-four layout was very advanced; the bike stayed in production until the late 1950s. The engine had two transverse crankshafts and was essentially a pair of across-frame OHC parallel twins joined by their geared central flywheels, with a four-cylinder block and single head. The idea was rejected by BSA and adopted by Ariel, becoming their prestige model for 20 years. This 1951 Ariel Square Four was purchased by the late vendor almost 20 years ago as a shed find in very original condition. The Ariel had been laid up since 1976 until he purchased it and set about a full restoration of the machine, with an engine overhaul carried out at the same time. The Ariel has been finished to a good standard but has now stood for a few years, therefore, some recommissioning would be required before placing it back on the road. The Ariel is offered with a V5C, old photos of it as a 'shed find' plus parts books from Draganfly Motorcycles (sic). The basic layout survived in various engine sizes up to 750cc until the eventual closure of the factory in the early 1970s. Triumph staged a remarkable comeback in the 1990s with a range of completely new machines very much based on the spirit of bikes like the original Speed Twin. This 1957 Triumph Speed Twin has been sitting in the shed since at least 1979, when it was last on the road. After a typically rocky few years for manufacturers in the early part of the century, in 1932 Jack Sangster bought Ariel from the receivers at a bargain price. The company was renamed Ariel Motors (J.S.) Ltd, and promptly resumed production in a new factory in Selly Oak Birmingham and one of their first bikes produced was the Ariel Square Four designed by Edward Turner followed by the Ariel Red Hunter. The Red Hunter was such a success it enabled Ariel to purchase Triumph motorcycles, eventually becoming part of the BSA group in 1951. Designed by Val Page and Bernard Knight, the Ariel Leader featured a 250cc two-stroke engine suspended from a monocoque frame fabricated from pressed steel panels. The fuel tank was hidden inside this structure and accessed by lifting the hinged dual seat and a dummy petrol tank was used for storage, large enough to fit a spare crash helmet. The fully enclosed bodywork, first developed by Phil Vincent for the innovative Vincent Black Prince, was the most prominent feature with none of the working parts of the motorcycle in view. This bike is being offered at 'no reserve' from a deceased estate. An unfinished project, it started life as standard Arrow but the late vendor, a retired mechanical and electrical engineer who had raced Yamahas in the Manx Grand Prix in the early 1970s, was rebuilding it to Leader specification. It is supplied with many spare parts to finish off the conversion/restoration and will make a fascinating winter project to complete. It is offered with a V5C. The Bonneville name, first used to commemorate Jonny Allen's speed records at Bonneville Salt Flats, is probably the most evocative of the era and was always placed on Triumphs top of the range bikes. The T140D Bonneville Special was produced mainly for the American market in a semi-custom style with higher bars, 2 into 1 exhaust, bigger rear tyre, stepped seat and Lester 7 spoke alloy wheels. This Bonneville Special was part of the National Motorcycle Museum collection until being offered as a raffle prize in 2021. The bike is presented in excellent and original condition and has never been registered, with just 11 'push miles' on its speedo. Won by the vendor in the April 2021 NMM raffle at the Stafford Show, he has since kept it carefully stored in his house. Interestingly, under the rear mudguard, you can still read '20.4.79 JR' which looks to be the date of assembly and the worker's initials. The bike will come with the winning ticket and a letter of provenance from the Museum. For more information, please contact: Ian Cunningham ian.cunningham@handh.co.uk 07415 871189
Registration No: PGC 956L Frame No: AG46557 MOT: ExemptLate example of a classic Triumph Tiger 650Standard with much originalityBeing offered at 'no reserve' with a V5CTriumph is one of the most iconic and revered names in the history of motorcycling. Established in Coventry in 1885, by the start of the 1900s the company had made its first motorcycle. It began a continuous production run under various ownership until its eventual closure in 1983 before its rebirth in the early 1990s. In 1937 the Edward Turner-designed Speed Twin was released, launching a range of Triumph twins that epitomised British motorcycles in the post-war years. Many believe the various Bonneville, Tiger and Trophy models to be the ultimate versions of the classic British vertical twin, with the 1973 models being the last of the Meriden-made bikes before the ill-fated co-operative took over in 1974.This Tiger 650 has been part of a small private collection and is being offered in what appears to be a quite original and standard condition, with receipts included in the sale to suggest the wheels were rebuilt with stainless-steel spokes in 2013 and documenting a £1,450 overhaul in 2019 which included new tyres. Stood since then, it will need recommissioning before use and comes supplied with the aforementioned receipts, a genuine workshop manual, a Haynes manual and a V5C.
