TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY (1991) - T-1000's (Robert Patrick) Police Costume - The T-1000's (Robert Patrick) police costume from James Cameron's Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The T-1000, a liquid Terminator, took the form of a police officer upon arriving in 1995 Los Angeles.This polyester-blend navy blue uniform shirt features pockets on the front, epaulets, and tags including one reading "WPL #4304 Guarantees this article to meet or exceed, the Los Angeles Police Department specifications" and another marked "loose." It has been altered by production having the front sewn closed, breast pockets held down with fastening strips, and a zipper added to the back with two sections cut out at the bottom. Also included is a matching pair of navy motorcycle breeches with a cream-color stripe down each side. Scientists that worked on Regula I wore their orange and white uniforms as they worked on the Genesis Device. This costume consists of one polyblend orange long-sleeve undershirt with white decorative trim, a white polyblend sleeveless tunic with resin components, and a pair of orange polyblend pants with black elastic stirrups. The interior of the tunic features a Paramount label hand-marked "Sullivan" in black ink. The interior of pants features a Paramount label. Also included are four production tags hand-marked for "Kevin Sullivan" as "March." Nefler had her Wilderness Girl troop leader uniform tailored and wore it to her first meeting to the dismay of scout leader Velda Plendor (Betty Thomas). Nefler wore a variety of tailored uniforms throughout the film, such as a capelet and jacket, as well as a skirt and a pair of khaki pants.Having gained new fans from repeated airings on the Disney Channel in the 1990s, this film is evocative of the 1980s and features a subtle feminist message that has endeared itself to audiences leading it to become a cult classic film.Originating from Butterfield & Butterfield's Western Costume Star Collection Part II auction on July 17th 1994, this costume, which was custom-made for the film, consists of a khaki wool garrison cap hemmed in emerald green with a faux diamond and emerald brooch; a khaki wool jacket hemmed in emerald green and lined with satin; a khaki satin button-up shirt; an emerald green satin necktie; and a khaki wool skirt. The interior of the shirt and skirt feature Western Costume Co. makers labels and hand-marked with "101971" and "1020005." The bottom hem of the shirt was removed by production to allow for a more tailored fit.
