A large Edwardian mahogany longcase clock decorated with inlaid floral scrolls and central fan motif above the arched panelled door enclosing the silvered chapter ring with gilt arabic numerals, fitted seconds dial, chimes selector and dials to the arch, bearing a plaque inscribed Mappin & Webb, London, fitted eight-day movement chiming on eight gongs, a bevelled glazed panelled door to the trunk and inlaid panel to the base depicting an urn within bellflower wreath, raised on cut-away bracket feet, 20in. x 93in. high.
