1990 Volkswagen Golf Custom Restomod Transmission: manualMileage:Launched in 1974, the Golf represented a complete break with Volkswagen tradition yet it would prove as big a sales success as its Beetle predecessor. The GTi became one of the great icons of modern motoring, giving rise to an entirely new class of sporting saloon - the 'hot hatch' - in the process. The second generation of the Volkswagen Golf and the successor to the Mk. I Golf, was launched in Europe at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1983.  This one-off custom-built Mk. II Golf started life as a cherished Mk. II Gold Driver when our vendor purchased in 2016. A Volkswagen fan and having always wanted the original GTi the initial project was to make a fast road show car with a budget which swiftly doubled when he installed the help of renowned specialists JTech. Presented in stunning unmarked white paintwork with the inside painted in dove grey to match the engine bay, money has been no object in this restoration and subsequent customisation. The restoration was indeed 'nut and bolt' and must be seen to be appreciated but the list of modifications thereafter reads as a list of the finest upgrades. The engine was swapped for a 1.8 litre 240bhp 20V Turbo engine with an IX03 Turbo all fully rebuild by JTexh coupled to a Fabia RS gearbox and Quaife limited slip Diff. Further engine modifications include forced air induction and a Mocal oil cooler, all topped off with a full custom exhaust system. Sitting on Compomotive IMOS alloy wheels with KONi Coilovers all fully polybushed, the car was then treated to a full under body Waxoil treatment and a full custom roll cage. There are many more items and therefore viewing is highly recommended. The car has never been on a track and been a real show pony but recently serviced and treated to an MoT test certificate valid until April 2024 with unsurprisingly no advisories.This is a fabulous opportunity to relive your youth but also purchase one of the best engineered custom cars we have seen at a fraction of the cost to build and restore, just wait for Vicki Butler-Henderson to get her hands on it during auction week!

The second-generation Audi A8 built on the Volkswagen Group D3 platform was unveiled via press release in July 2002 and introduced to Europe in November 2002 and the USA in June 2003. The model was longer than the previous generation, with room for four or five large adult occupants in the cabin, depending on rear seat configuration.This long wheelbase, example of the A8 boasting a huge level of comfort and the powerful 4.2 litre TDi engine is an ultimate long-distance cruiser. This car is presented in Phantom Black pearl-effect paint with the optional cream comfort level seats and birch wood trim and first registered on 16th June 2006. Fitted with shelf in cab to double up as a bar. Constructed from original or patent OE equivalent 1950s T1 parts, including original lights and window rubbers and using period correct paint colours. Fitted with a wooden work surface, LED illuminated indictors, headlights and cab with remote control. All the panels were spot-welded where needed and welded to a frame to allow it to be wall-mounted. The split-screen panel with the Perspex windows had to be put in at a more acute angle than standard for it to look right, the side fillets are bespoke and not purchased front wings. Apart from that, everything else is exactly as it should be, even the mounting brackets for the bumper are the real thing. The huge VW badge was sourced from a company in Germany.  The coachwork was by Baker Body Craft in Bury St Edmunds and the colours are genuine 1950s Volkswagen. With over 40 man-hours to complete, this is obviously a work of passion!This high-quality piece of modern art could grace the premises of a 'Splitty' aficionado, car collector or a Volkswagen dealership.
