1975 VW Beetle 1200Make: Volkswagen Model: Beetle Year: 1975Mileage: 92526VIN: 1152122716Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: KNV218NTransmission: manualFinished as a Herbie (The Love Bug) replica, this Volkswagen Beetle 1200 was registered in February 1975 and has had five previous registered keepers since then. The current odometer reading is 92,526 miles. The history folder includes the current V5C as well as a collection of service receipts, mainly from the late-1990s and start of the 21st century, plus some test certificates. There's also a list of what has been done to the car. This includes recent new Polybushes on the front beams, front and rear bumpers, alloy running boards, tail pipes, anti-roll bar fixings and bushes, roof-rack and dropped spindles (to lower the suspension). The steel wheels were sandblasted, rubbed down, primed and coated in white and fitted with chrome moon hubs. However, the Beetle will also come with an extra set of 15in eight-spoke EMPI alloys. 2002 Bentley Arnage Red LabelMake: Bentley Model: Arnage Red Label Year: 2002Mileage: 49000VIN: SCBLC31E31CH06403Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: AM51UBSTransmission: automatic When the Bentley Arnage was launched in 1998, it came with a BMW M62 V8 engine and Cosworth-engineered twin-turbo installation. However, because of the takeover battle between BMW and Volkswagen for ownership of Rolls Royce and Bentley Motors, BMW threatened to stop supplying engines. Thus the Arnage was re-engineered to take the traditional old Rolls-Royce 6.75-litre 16-valve engine from the Turbo R, along with its four-speed automatic gearbox. The resultant car was known as the Bentley Arnage Red Label, with the BMW-powered variant being dubbed the Green Label. This Red Label car was registered in January 2002 and has had just two former registered keepers from new - with the last owning the car from July 2008. It has an MoT valid until March 2023, with its odometer showing circa 49,000 miles. This can be warranted from the history folder.

Lot 657

2004 VW Type 2 T2c Danbury CaravanetteMake: Volkswagen Model: Type 2 T2c Danbury CaravanetteYear: 2004Mileage: 108180VIN: PBWGB07X64P000938Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: WX54MFFTransmission: manualAlthough the 'Bay Window' Volkswagen Type 2 Transporter went out of production in Europe in 1979, in Latin America, where VW had an especially strong presence, manufacture of the T2 carried on. Brazilian manufacture only ceased in 2013, by which point the roof had been raised by 10 inches to create the T2c variant and the venerable old air-cooled engine at the rear had been swapped for a water-cooled unit. This example is one of the last with air-cooled power, in this case a 1.6-litre unit. It was constructed in Brazil during 2004 before coming over to the UK where Beetles (UK) Limited converted it into a Danbury camper, with two-tone white over pale green paint, non-standard cloth, bench seat that converts into a rock 'n' roll bed, two-burner stove with sink, immobiliser, underseal, auxiliary battery, elevating roof and vent, CD radio and four speakers, winter pack (including petrol heater), front-mounted solid spare wheel cover, chrome trim pack, bike rack, awning, roof rack and mains hook-up. Further modifications throughout the years included Suede Green leather and tartan upholstery, full leather door cards, Porsche-style Fuchs alloy wheels, walnut and tulip wood floor and table, new cooker and sink unit, and a flat-screen Alpine media system. A £2750 bill in the paperwork indicates a reconditioned 1.6-litre Brazilian exchange engine was fitted in October 2016, while it seems a full restoration has also been carried out relatively recently, judging by the van's body condition. The odometer currently shows 108,206km (67,236 miles) and five previous owners are noted on the V5C. There's a fresh MoT valid until May 2023. The engine starts easily and runs well. The history folder includes the V5C, owner's manual, service book (stamped up to 108,174km in December 2021), Alpine Media Station manuals in both paper and CD form, and a Volkswagen Transporter Haynes Enthusiast Guide book by Jonathan Harvey. There's some maintenance invoices, including the bill for the reconditioned engine. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 30TH MAY BY ACA OF THIS CAR.

1987 Volkswagen Golf GTi Mk II 16V Transmission: manualMileage:38213The second generation of the Volkswagen Golf and the successor to the Mk.1 Golf, was launched in Europe at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1983, with sales beginning in its homeland and most other left-hand drive markets soon after. It debuted in March 1984 on the right-hand drive British market. It was Volkswagen's highest volume seller from 1983 and ended in (German) production in late 1992, to be replaced by the Golf Mk.3. The Mk.2 was larger than the Mk.1; its wheelbase grew slightly by 3.0 in, as did exterior dimensions length 7.1 in, width 2.2 in, height 0.2 in. Weight was up accordingly by about 260 lbs. Exterior design, developed in-house by VW design director Schäfer and kept the general lines of its Giugiaro-designed predecessor, but was slightly more rounded. The Mk.2 was supplied with a wider range of engine options, including a GTD turbodiesel using the 1.6 'umwelt' (ECO) diesel engine, a DOHC 1781cc 16-valve version of the straight-four GTI as well as the tried and tested 1781cc 8v GTI, All told, about 6.3 million second-generation Golfs were built. This lovely Mk. 2 Golf GTI V16 has only covered 38,200 miles from new. The first owner was a man who was employed as a quality engineer for Bentley Motors, he cherished the car so much that he had a fall out VW due to their "œlow standards," so he serviced the car himself and had a service stamp made in his own name. He was posted to Germany where he was to stay, unexpectedly, for several years. He took the car with him and registered there. He purchased a left-hand drive car with the same specification and used that while he was there. His next posting was to America, so he returned the car to Cheshire, and it was sold to a VW enthusiast. This car sports a host of factory fitted and very extensive options including leather steering wheel, heated driver's seat, electric mirrors, electric windows, central locking, front fog lights so the lights in the grill could be used as driving lights and a split fold rear seat. In 2016 it won 'Best of Show' at the Mk. 2 Owners Club rally at Curborough. Purchased by the current owner in 2019 and placed in his private collection. Finished in Stratos Blau metallic paintwork with stripped grey interior and is supplied with a V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in April 2023 and a file containing Service books and MoT history confirming the low mileage and shows that it has only covered 7,000 miles since 2006.

Lot 296

2007 Volkswagen Eos 'custom' Transmission: automaticMileage:68215Prior to production, the Eos was shown as the Concept C car at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show designed by a team headed by Peter Schreyer, Head of Volkswagen Design in Wolfsburg. The production Eos, produced at the Autoeuropa plant in Portugal, was presented in September 2005 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Unlike the Cabrio, which was a convertible version of the Golf hatchback, the Eos was a standalone model with all new body panels, although it shared the platform and components from the Volkswagen Golf (Mk. 5). The Eos incorporates into its five-piece folding roof an integrated and independently sliding glass sunroof making the Eos the only retractable hardtop of this kind. The roof folds automatically into the boot in 25 seconds, thereby reducing boot space from 10.5 to 6.6 cubic feet. The roof was designed and is built by OASys, a subsidiary of Webasto Germany. This petrol, automatic 2.0 litre turbo Eos with that fabulous folding hardtop is presented in metallic silver with grey trim and has covered a mere 68,215 miles from new with two previous keepers. What stands this example out from a crowd is the custom front to this example, which is part VW Scirocco (the bumper and bonnet) with the front wings bespoke to fit while retaining all the original features necessary on a modern sports car. The work was performed by a young and talented design student who has moved away from aerospace to fulfil his passion for cars at Vara-Technik, the workmanship would have many thinking this was an original VW design (perhaps a design they should have considered). With a good history file and an MoT test certificate until May 2023, panoramic roof and private plate included, this practical yet sleek hardtop convertible, which seats four and still has room in the boot is a one-off and sure to turn heads. Guide Price £6,000 - £10,000

Lot 122

1978 Volkswagen Beetle Karmann Convertible Transmission: manualMileage:40700The VW Beetle has seduced many a first-time buyer, collector and classic car enthusiast. And for obvious reasons; the parts network is huge and inexpensive, the ability to convert the base model into many different variants was always available and the cost of the car itself presented a gateway into classic car ownership. In fact, Wilhelm Karmann first applied himself into converting his own Beetle into the four-seat convertible we all know and love today. This wonderful Beetle Karmann convertible was imported into the UK in 1989 and is offered in the desirable European specification. Stored in a dehumidified heated garage for many years until 2012 at which time it was extensively restored and professionally converted to right hand drive. Also completed was a comprehensive repaint to the coachwork in an eye-catching Florida blue. It sits on a set of beautiful 15-inch Fuchs alloy wheels and comes complete with a brand new mohair hood. In the last 12 months it has had an extensive service costing over £1,800 and is supplied with a valid MoT test certificate, various sundry invoices and the UK V5C registration document. This is a very well presented example and we are sure it will be huge amounts of fun for the new custodian in the coming summer months.

Lot 128

2000 Volkswagen Caravelle VR6 Camper Transmission: manualMileage:157303Introduced in 1990, the T4 was the first Volkswagen van to have a front-mounted, water-cooled engine. Prompted by the success of similar moves with their passenger cars, Volkswagen had toyed with the idea of replacing their air-cooled, rear-engined T2 vans with a front-engined, water-cooled design in the late 1970s. The reasons for deciding in 1980 to instead introduce a new rear-engined T3 are unclear. Thus, the introduction of a front-engined layout was delayed until the arrival of the T4. After a run of nearly 14 years, T4 production ceased in 2003, making it second only to the T1 for length of production in its home market. This example first registered June 2000 is presented in turquoise with grey trim and as a Caravelle has the option of an extra row of seats, however the owner has recently been using this as a day camper with a custom awning and fold out bed. A tow bar is fitted, as is a camper unit in the rear which includes a sink. This example also boasts the petrol VR6 engine made famous by the 2.8 litre unit used in the Volkswagen Golf hot hatch and is coupled with a custom stainless steel exhaust. This is coupled with an LPG fuel system making this not only a more powerful van for those long weekend trips but importantly more fuel-efficient, running seamlessly on cheaper LPG or petrol when necessary.  An incredibly versatile petrol VW camper conversion with the refined V6 engine.Guide Price £8,000 - £15,000

Lot 169

1973 Volkswagen GT 'Meyers Manx' Beach Buggy Transmission: manualMileage:1920Starting with the Meyers Manx in the early Sixties the dune buggy craze took off in America. Bruce Meyers' original concept was simple: take a Volkswagen Beetle, throw away the body leaving the floor pan which contained virtually all the components needed to make it run and drive, shorten the wheelbase and install a simple, one-piece fiberglass two-seat body. Meyers named it Manx for its stubby tail with the engine exposed, like the breed of cat. Even the buggy's stance, low at the front and high at the rear, emulated its feline namesake. Bruce F. Meyers, a Californian engineer, artist, boat builder and surfer, produced the Manx at his Fountain Valley, SoCal-based facilities from 1964 through 1971. Used up VW Beetles were abundant in California and the surf culture was at its peak in the Sixties. The dune buggy epitomized the California lifestyle, and as the concept was so simple and so inviting, it spread quickly. The Meyers Manx appeared in several movies, including Elvis Presley films, and the 1968 The Thomas Crown Affair, which contains a lengthy beach driving scene in which Steve McQueen drives a Manx with Faye Dunaway at his side.Registered on 2nd February 1973 this wonderful example looks superb in orange coachwork over a recently retrimmed black interior. Reported to run and drive very well the Manx looks outstanding and sits proudly on a set of original 1972 Porsche Fuchs wheels, as used on the Carrera race cars in period and which are worth circa £6,000 alone! Also fitted with the very rare and powerful VW 1600 GT engine of which very few units were built, this example is a real one off and looks fantastic! The chromework is bright and the paintwork and interior both present very well. Offered with various old MoT test certificates, its current UK registration document, and a current MoT valid until September 2022. Used very sparingly the long-standing owner has only recorded some 1,900 miles in the last 18 years! Recently serviced the Beach buggy sounds glorious when on song. We are sure this powerful and pretty 'Meyers Manx' beach buggy will be a sound purchase and huge amounts of fun in the coming summer months.Interested parties should note that this vehicle is not a Meyers Manx example. It is in fact a Volkswagen Beach Buggy by GP1.

Lot 202

1992 Volkswagen Golf GTi Mk. I Rivage Convertible Transmission: manualMileage:76054The VW Golf is surely one of the most iconic 'hot-hatches' ever conceived. Its popularity has never diminished, and a plethora of variants and styles have always been hungrily anticipated and universally enjoyed by the car's cult following, all of whom treasured the next instalment from Volkswagen, the hot-hatch giant. Whilst many motorists today appreciate the exhilaration of roof-down 'wind-in-your-hair' motoring, few are willing to forego the comfort of a saloon car in order to enjoy it, however, the Golf GTi Convertible, introduced in 1980, made any such sacrifice unnecessary being designed and built by one of the world's most experienced builders of open-touring cars - Karmann of Osnabrück. With the hood up these little cars were remarkably draught-free; lower the hood and you were ready to take advantage of every moment of sunshine which a British summer could muster. The Golf GTi Rivage was a run-out model of the legendary Mk. I GTi Convertible, enhancing the appeal of the car with metallic blue or green paint, heated Recaro cloth seats, Le Castellet forged alloy wheels, powered mohair hood and a five-speed gearbox. With its sub-10 second 0-60mph time and a top speed of 108mph, the Rivage was clearly no ordinary Golf convertible. This lovely 1992 Golf GTi Convertible benefits from all the usual Rivage features and appears to have had only three owners from new. The current owner purchased the car two years ago for his private modern classic car collection. Finished in Inca Blue, tan interior with blue Mohair hood, this car is well below the average mileage for its year due to being taken off the road and placed in secure storage from time to time, the last time it was off the road was between 2014 and 2017. In fact, the car has only covered 11,000 miles since 2006. This lovely VW Golf GTi convertible is supplied with a blue V5C registration document, and MoT test certificate which expires in April 2023, the original handbook pack, spare keys and a file containing invoices, SORN certificates and old MoT's. With the summer on its way what better way to enjoy it than driving a classic Golf convertible with the roof down.
