Das Gendai Hanga Centre in Tokio bat Warhol, für eine Ausstellung im Jahr 1983 ein Werk zu schaffen, das sich mit Blumen befasst. The Gendai Hanga Centre in Tokyo asked Warhol to create a work dealing with flowers for an exhibition in 1983. Warhol created a series of paintings inspired by the chrysanthemum (kiku in Japanese), traditionally used as a symbol of the Japanese emperor and the imperial household. 2 pages minimally with brownstains, the silkscreen fresh and clean. - Well presevered

Orig. wrappers (minimally rubbed and bumped). - Very rare and important catalogue of the collaboration between Andy Warhol and Jean Michael Basquiat, who had already combined Street Art and Pop Art at the Tony Shafrazi Gallery in 1985. The essay by the artist Keith Haring under the title "Painting the third mind". -Altogether a very well preserved and clean copy with offset lithographs in vivid colours.
