Aldo Londi (1911-2003) for Bitossi Rimini, Kwan Guan Yin Buddha, unmarked, with original label, 34.5cm high overall With firing crack evident when looking from the underside. This is not damage, nor is it visible from the outside. Minimal glaze faults as expected. Crazing to the glaze. small glaze loss to the underside corner on the base, otherwise seems ok.

One of the ears is slightly rough with a dark grey colour. However we cannot see any evidence of loss, it just looks discoloured. No chips or signs of restoration. Creative polymath Ann is known for her artwork depicting often colourful Cornish views, as well as her writing and poetry, being an award-winning author, books including 'Runners', 'Last Days In Eden' and 'The Bower Bird' which was Costa Children's Book of The Year.
A mixed group comprising, an Aldo Londi Bitossi mustard spagnolo tall vase (h-36cm), a Steiff Millennium Teddy Bear cream mohair Danbury Mint 2000 exclusive, with tag to ear and medal, a Booths "Pagoda" pattern seven piece nibbles dish, a Royal Worcester leaf shaped dish (chips to edge) and a pair of wooden orange salad fork and spoon etc. (6)
ALDO LONDI (ITALIAN, 1911-2003) FOR BITOSSI, POTTERY VASE AND ASHTRAY, CIRCA 1960 both in Rimini Blu, with incised and impressed decoration, the ovoid case with MADE IN ITALY and paulino SALAMANCA MADRID stickers, the cylindrical ashtray impressed ITALYvase 24cm high Qty: 2Overall, this lot is good condition, with some light signs of age and use to the ashtray. The vase stands well and shows no chipping or crazing, as does the exterior of the ashtray. The interior shows some light dulling to the glaze, constant with the ashtray being used for its intended purposes.
