Five lots for animal lovers coming to auction in Norfolk
07 February 2025 The Collector Sale held by Bishop & Miller in Glanford near Holt in Norfolk includes the contents of a north Norfolk manor house and is rich with fine art, statues, antiques and decorative items.
This 19th century painted rocking horse on a raised wooden frame features turned supports and will appeal to modern buyers for its attractively worn condition. It has an estimate of £300-500 at Bishop & Miller.
Among the gems to be uncovered are those that will give bird watchers, dog lovers and even pig enthusiasts something to bid for and buy.

One of several rare Bow pieces included in the Bishop & Miller sale, this pug dog c.1760 is estimated at £600-800. Though this example is well-enough known, there are few painted examples around. Previously this piece was purchased in October 1989 from Helmingham Hall for £640.

Estimated at £700-900 at the Bishop & Miller sale is this French patinated Art Deco bronze of a lady and hound. It is indistinctly signed and inscribed Editions Reveyrolis Paris on a raised rectangular marble-mounted base.

Offered at the Bishop & Miller sale with a £500-600 estimate is this linocut print Clarion Cranes by British artist Robert Gillmor (1936-2022). It is signed and numbered 62/75 in pencil, it is catalogued as being in very good condition.

This pair of pig studies are by the contemporary British artist Edna Bizon (1929-2016). Offered with an estimate of £400-600 at Bishop & Miller, the two pictures are catalogued as being in good hangable condition.
