Various Elements Of Armour 16th Century And Later Comprising two gauntlets, 17th century, each with widely flared boxed cuff with low medial ridge and turned upper border, one roped and with a row of domed lining rivets, and five and six upward-lapping metacarpal plates respectively articulated on rivets (thumb and finger-plates missing); a pair of gauntlets in gothic style (one thumb-defence detached, the other and the finger lames missing); an armpit gusset from a breast-plate, mid-16th century, with bold turned and roped edge, and pierced with numerous holes; part of a pauldron comprising two plates with turned borders (pitted, old repairs and damage), 17th century; a skirt, 17th century; together with a pair and three detached ear-pieces for pot helmets (12) For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
