A Gorget, A Pair Of Spaulders, And A Pair Of Cuisses Late 16th To Mid-17th Century, All Probably German The first comprising two main plates held together by a rivet and secured by a pin and keyhole catch, the front plate with low medial ridge drawn-out to a point, and T-shaped piercing on the right, a hinged pillar on each shoulder for arm defences, and turned edges at the neck; the second each of six downward-lapping lames articulated on rivets and with shallow medial ridge, the lower lanes each with turned border; the last each of six plates upward-lapping above and downward-lapping below the knee, each knee-plate with heart-shaped side-wing, dome-headed rivets, and turned borders (all with old rust patination and some pitting) (5) For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
